Why won’t my iPhone 16 Pro Max charge past 80%?

I've been using my iPhone 16 Pro Max throughout the day for work, and I recently got a portable charger to help out. I set the charge limit to 100%, but for some reason, it always stops at 80%, which is shown as highlighted in green. I tried turning off Optimized Charging and Clean Energy settings, but it didn't solve the issue. Is there something wrong with my iPhone?

Have you checked how many charge cycles your battery has gone through? If you're at 19 cycles with a normal battery condition, it should be fine, but sometimes batteries can still behave oddly.

Yeah, I'm at 19 cycles and the battery health shows normal.

You might want to look into whether adaptive charging is on. I have the same phone and set mine to 80% while using battery-saving measures like cutting off unnecessary services. It helps it last longer. Maybe check your settings and see if anything's out of the ordinary.

It sounds like your phone might be adjusting to your charging routine. If you typically unplug it at a specific time, like 6 AM, your iPhone learns that and may limit the charge to 80% automatically to preserve battery health. Maybe try charging it at different times and see if that helps!

I actually charge it around 8 PM and unplug by 3 AM most days. Yesterday, I used the portable charger and got it to 100%, but today it's stuck at 80% again.
