Looking for European Alternatives to Vercel

Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a European-based alternative to Vercel. I've been running into issues with a client in the public sector who is really strict about compliance and data residency, which makes the US-centered approach of Vercel a tough sell. I'm particularly frustrated with their latest V0 update due to its lack of transparency and functionality. Does anyone know of a solid Vercel alternative that operates within the EU? Appreciate any advice you can share! Thanks!

Have you heard of hubeu.com? It’s relatively new, but it might fit the bill for what you're looking for. I met the founder at a network event in Lisbon, and it has potential, though it might feel a bit bare-bones right now.

There's also DigitalOcean's App Platform. We've used it for various apps, and it's been really reliable. Just keep in mind, they’re US-based, similar to Vercel, so make sure to consider compliance before going that route!

Yeah, I think this could be an issue if compliance is a major concern since they won't solve the data residency problem.

Check out UpCloud or OVH! They’re European and can host your applications, though they might not have all the fancy features Vercel does. If you're up for a bit of work, deploying your own setup can give you the compliance you need without depending on US-based services.

Just keep in mind that while they may lack some tools, they still handle hosting pretty well for many projects!

Have you thought about using Scaleway? I've had some good experiences with it, and they have a decent range of services that can help with European compliance needs. You can check it out on their website.

I use Scalingo for my Next.js projects! They've got a solid setup for EU privacy laws, and it's been great for my needs. Might be worth checking out if you’re looking for compliance.
