Why is AWS still down when some services like Reddit seem fine?

I've been noticing that several of my daily service providers are currently down, and I heard that Reddit uses AWS too. I'm curious about what AWS is doing to recover from these outages and how that affects services like Reddit that rely on it. Are others experiencing similar issues?

It's crazy out there! Even just an hour ago, I was getting a bunch of endpoint and server errors from my apps. So, not everything under AWS is totally fine right now. It's a mixed bag.

I feel you on that! It seems like they're more focused on putting out news to save face instead of actually fixing the underlying problems. Just check out this list of sites that are affected – it's pretty wild!
