Hey everyone! I'm not super tech-savvy, but I just wanted to ask if it's normal for my Opera browser to be using a whopping 81% of my computer's memory. I usually keep around 3 tabs open and have cleared my cache multiple times, yet the memory usage is still high. Is something wrong here?

It’s fairly common for browsers to use a lot of memory, especially if they’re processing a lot of information. Even with just a few tabs, some sites can be really intensive. You might want to check your task manager to see if any other programs are taking up a lot of memory too!
Don’t forget to check how many extensions you have installed! They can really add up in terms of memory usage.
It sounds like your browser might just be working a bit harder than expected, but it can depend on several factors. The number of extensions you have, any ads you're blocking, and of course, your operating system and total RAM all play a role. If you're only using 2GB of RAM for Opera and your total memory is quite low, that could explain the high percentage you're seeing. Just make sure you're managing those tabs and any extensions you don’t need.
Exactly! If your total RAM isn't high, then 2GB for the browser isn't unusual at all, especially with modern web pages being resource-heavy.
And if you're running any heavy applications alongside Opera, that could be eating up even more RAM. Just keep an eye on your overall usage!

For sure! Sometimes background apps can sneakily use up memory without you realizing it. Keeping an eye on what's running could help.
