I'm currently using Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop and primarily do web-related work, with some old console emulation on the side. I've been looking into EndeavourOS because it seems to offer so many features that I want, like full support for KDE Plasma, Wayland, and access to newer drivers and packages. It appears to be the Arch experience without the hassles of installation, plus it has a Live USB option and hardly any bloatware. However, I'm really worried about the potential risks of using command line tools like 'yay' and causing major issues like kernel panics. I'm still in school, so I want to make sure I'm making a good choice. What advice do you have for someone in my situation?

You're doing great with Mint, so there's really no rush to switch. You can always install KDE on Mint if you're looking for that specific desktop environment. As for 'yay', it's just an AUR helper; it’s not going to cause a kernel panic. AUR packages are community-built, so they're a bit riskier, but you can skip them if you want.
Just a heads-up: while 'yay' can be helpful, it's known that some commands can lead to bricking your Arch, so always back up!
If Mint is doing everything you need right now, there’s no urgent reason to switch. But if EndeavourOS has features you're excited about, definitely consider backing up your data and giving it a try. Research your options on Distrowatch—there are plenty of choices out there!

KDE on Mint can be pretty unstable, though, so be careful if you try that out!
