I'm currently using a Ryzen 5600X with an RX 6700 XT and I'm contemplating a future switch to an RX 9070 XT. I'm curious whether upgrading my CPU to a 5800X3D will noticeably enhance my gaming performance. Would this CPU change provide a significant boost?

From my experience, moving from a 5600X to a 5700X3D gave me solid gains at 1440p. However, I grabbed the 5700 for $140 during a sale, so if you find a great deal, it can pay off. If not, consider holding out for the AM5 platform for better future-proofing.

It really depends on your budget. If you can snag the 5800X3D at a good price, go for it! Just keep in mind that if you're playing at 4K, you're likely going to be more limited by your GPU than CPU, so the upgrade's impact might not be as noticeable.

Upgrading to the 5800X3D would be a decent choice, but it might not be the best value. If prices are over $300, I'd say wait and save for AM5. The performance improvements might not justify the cost unless perhaps you find an amazing deal.

The 5800X3D definitely performs better in games compared to the 5600X. If you're looking to enhance your gaming experience, especially at 1440p, this upgrade could be worthwhile, provided you find it at a reasonable price.

Honestly, the 5800X3D is quite pricey right now. Depending on where you're situated, it might cost as much as a new AM5 setup with a solid CPU and RAM. If you're not getting a steal on the 5800X3D, you're better off saving up for a newer platform.
