Hey folks! I've got a USB stick loaded with Kubuntu, and I'm curious about how long it might last. Specifically, I'm wondering about the wear and tear of using a standard USB for this purpose. Is it a smart choice to use it this way? Thanks for any insights!

Are you planning to run Ubuntu directly from the USB or just install it from there? Knowing your aim will help a lot!
To use Kubuntu effectively, you need the ISO on the USB to boot it up. From there, you can install it on your main hard drive. That's the best practice!
Got it! Just to clarify, I used two USB drives: one for the live ISO and the other to install Kubuntu. This way, I can carry my setup between different devices. But how much will this wear out my USB?
Sorry for the confusion! I actually meant to install it.
