Looking for a Smart Plug Accessible via Local IP Address

I need help finding a smart plug that can be accessed through a web browser using its local IP address. I have several media and file servers at home connected to 8TB external hard drives that sometimes run into a 500-internal server error, requiring a power cycle to get them back up. Unfortunately, I can't always be at home to do this, whiching means that my media becomes unavailable until I can power cycle the external drives myself. Ideally, I'm looking for a smart outlet that can be controlled from my computer on the local network, allowing me to power cycle it remotely or even through a simple USB-controlled outlet. Can anyone recommend a device that fits these requirements?

You might want to check out the Shelly Smart Plug. It can operate on both local network and cloud access, although you should enable the cloud option first. It also supports a ton of integrations, which could be useful for your setup.

Putting IoT devices online with a public IP is risky. You might want to look into setting up Home Assistant with a compatible smart plug—Zigbee plugs from brands like Sonoff or Shelly could be good options. Home Assistant can be installed on a Raspberry Pi and will help you manage access securely.

Have you considered using a smart socket that connects through an app like Tuya? They come in various types, including ones with USB outlets. However, keep in mind that they usually work through an app on your phone, which might not be ideal if you're looking for straightforward access via a PC.
