Hi everyone! I'm having some serious issues with my gaming setup. My system specs are: 7800x3d CPU, Aorus b850 elite wifi7 motherboard, Gigabyte 5080 Aero GPU, and G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB 32GB RAM at DDR5-6000 CL28. I also have a 1000W power supply.
A few days ago, I started experiencing significant lag while playing Dragons Dogma 2, though I didn't change any drivers. I reinstalled the game, and it worked fine initially, but the next day, the problems returned. My GPU utilization drops to 1%, and the 1% low FPS is in single digits. The only change I made recently was switching the DLSS model to the latest version for that game, but reverting it back to standard hasn't helped. I've noticed this issue in other games as well.
I've reinstalled the Nvidia drivers, checked the Windows 11 logs (found nothing), and even reinstalled the OS, but the performance problems persist. I'm at a loss here! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

When you reinstalled the drivers, did you go for the clean installation option? That tricky option ensures all previous settings are reset to defaults. Also, consider using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to fully wipe the drivers before reinstalling the latest version.
Make sure you're monitoring both CPU and GPU temperatures to rule out thermal throttling, and don’t forget to update your BIOS and chipset drivers. Lastly, check your power plan settings—sometimes they can limit performance unexpectedly.
I always select clean installation when I reinstall. I've also used DDU to remove the old drivers completely. My thermals look good, but I can send you a video of me gaming with all the temps and frequencies if it helps! My chipset drivers are up-to-date too, though I still haven’t done the latest BIOS update. My power plan is set to performance, so it shouldn't be throttling.

It sounds like you've done quite a bit, but if you haven't updated the BIOS yet, it might be worth a shot! Sometimes, those updates can fix weird performance issues. Let me know how it goes!
