This year has really been a rough one for me! Recently, my phone got stolen, and somehow, the thief managed to change the trusted phone number linked to my Apple ID, locking me out completely. I still have my email and password (which haven't been changed) and I can prove my identity to Apple with my ID. However, since my account is blocked and it requires the thief's inserted phone number for unblocking, I can't log in or recover my photos. I'm feeling really hopeless here. What are my options?

I’m really sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately, if you can’t provide the new trusted number, Apple’s security is pretty tight, and it might be tough to regain access. One thing you can try is reaching out to Apple Support directly; they can sometimes help if you have ID to prove you're the account owner. Just be prepared for a lengthy process. Good luck!
There are definitely a few steps you can take to better protect yourself from this happening in the future. Enabling 2FA (two-factor authentication) on your iCloud account is a strong move. It adds an extra layer of security that can prevent unauthorized access, even if someone manages to get your password. Make sure to also use a unique, strong password and keep your recovery information updated. Stay safe out there!
