How do I stop Chrome from redirecting to Yahoo?

I'm really frustrated because my Chrome browser keeps redirecting me to Yahoo for searches, even though I've already tried a bunch of fixes. I've deleted all my extensions, scanned my system with Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro (I initially had 80 viruses!), and even reinstalled Chrome twice. I made sure to change my default search engine back to Google and removed anything that wasn't related to Google. Now my search bar is also just a blank rectangle! I'm running out of options here. Any advice would really help!

You might want to check your installed applications. Sometimes unwanted programs can sneak in without you noticing. Go to Control Panel, then Programs and Features, and look for anything Yahoo-related—those are the culprits that could be causing the redirect.

If you've had viruses, I'd suggest backing up only essential files to avoid transferring any issues to a fresh installation. After that, it might be best to do a clean install of Windows. It sounds drastic, but sometimes it's the quickest way to resolve persistent issues. Just ensure you're practicing good digital hygiene afterward!
