Best CPU and GPU Upgrades for AM4 Systems?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC, specifically my CPU and possibly my GPU, but I'm a bit unsure about where to turn given the current situation with AM4 components. You can check out my parts list here: [link]. My goal is to future-proof my setup for the next 5 to 8 years, and I'm willing to spend around $1100. I know the AM4 platform is phasing out, and the top CPUs are harder to find and often overpriced. Is it worth sticking with AM4, or should I wait for the next generation? I've heard good things about the Ryzen 9 5900X and the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, but the pricing is all over the place. I'd love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is definitely the way to go if you're focused on gaming. The 3D V-Cache makes a big difference in performance for most games. I’d say don’t overlook other options though—the 5900X is solid, even if some folks say it’s not the best for gaming compared to the X3Ds.

If you're not ready to switch to AM5 just yet, maxing out your current CPU is probably your best bet for improving performance without breaking the bank. Everyone is jumping to AM5, so prices for top-tier AM4 CPUs are still decent. I’d suggest keeping an eye out for sales, especially on the Ryzen 7 5800X3D—it's pricey but worth it for gaming!

Yeah, I've been looking at the 5800X3D too, but man, the price is wild. I heard the 5900X is a solid choice too but not as good for gaming. What do you think about it?

Timing your purchase is key! You might find a 5700X or 5900X for around $100-$140 if you shop during sales, especially around the holidays. As for GPUs, I would suggest waiting a bit unless you find a great deal. I’ve seen good prices on the used market, but it can be hit or miss. A 9070XT could be a decent choice if you can afford it and want an upgrade now!

Thanks for the tip! I’m keen on the 5900X but was hesitant because of mixed reviews on gaming performance. It helps to hear everyone’s input!
