I'm currently using a Samsung Odyssey monitor, and I've noticed that it mainly supports two modes: 1440p at 120fps or 1080p at 60fps. I don't play any games that require 120fps and I want to use my monitor to run at 1440p with a stable 60fps instead. Is there a way to achieve this without my device unnecessarily boosting to that 120fps?

You can adjust the refresh rate in your display settings on Windows. Just set it to 60Hz, then cap your frame rate to 60fps in your game settings or through the Nvidia/AMD control panel.
If you're not gaming, how do you know if the frames are fake? Usually, it's the GPU that handles that. Maybe you should check the game settings directly for frame rate limits.
