I've noticed that Google seems really plain lately. It used to have more features like options to call places with pictures and other details, but now it's just a bare-bones search box. Is there any way to change it back to how it used to be?

Unfortunately, you can't change it back yourself. Google rotates through different themes periodically, and right now, there just isn't one active that adds all those extra features.
I saw some before and after screenshots, and it's a big difference. It used to have more logos and now it's all text.
Here's what Google's search results used to look like. The images I posted show how much it has changed; now there are no logos or colorful details anymore.
I totally get what you mean. It's strange how different it feels now with just a plain box. There's definitely been a shift lately.
But this version is a lot simpler compared to before! I miss the little circles with logos next to the links; now everything just looks so plain.
