Why does my Google search look so weird and blocky?

For the past few days, my Google search results have been displaying in a very blocky and compact format. The images appear smaller, and there's an overwhelming amount of text, and it seems to be an issue only on my device since other Google accounts look normal. I've been trying to find a fix in the settings and even reached out to Gemini for help, but nothing has worked so far. Can anyone provide some solutions?

This happens sometimes when Google thinks your browser is outdated. I had the same issue! What worked for me was installing a User Agent Switcher extension. Here’s how you can do it: 1. Install this User Agent Switcher extension. 2. Click the extension icon next to the address bar. 3. Select the first user agent (it usually says something like Chrome 142.0.0.0), then apply it to all tabs. If you want it to only affect Google, check the options and add google.com to whitelist it.

Make sure your browser is updated or try reinstalling it. It sounds like your current browser might not be compatible with Google's current layout. Also, what operating system are you using? If it's something older like Windows 7, that could cause issues too!
