Should I Upgrade to 32GB of RAM for My New PC Build?

I'm building a new PC with a RX 9060 XT 16GB graphics card and a Ryzen 7600X processor. I'm considering upgrading from 16GB to 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which will cost around $150. I don't play high-end games, but I do like to have some applications running in the background like Discord and Steam. Would it be better to invest in the extra RAM now, or should I wait for prices to drop in the next couple of years?

For most casual gaming and multitasking like Discord and Steam, 16GB should be fine. However, if you want to future-proof your setup, going for 32GB might save you a hassle later. Remember that you'll be better equipped for heavier tasks if you ever need them.

Yeah, but RAM prices can fluctuate a lot! It might be worth waiting a bit to see if they drop.

While 16GB is still usable, it's starting to show its age. You don't strictly need 32GB, but having that extra memory can definitely come in handy in the long run, especially with modern games getting more demanding.
