Minikube offers an exceptional development experience with features that work seamlessly. However, I'm curious about using it in production—what drawbacks should I be aware of? I've tried alternatives like Talos but have been stuck configuring Rook Ceph. I want to understand the potential challenges or limitations I might face by opting for Minikube in a production setting.

Keep in mind that while Minikube is great for individual projects, it can struggle with high availability. If you're running production, think about how you’ll manage outages and whether you need a multi-node setup. A lot of companies ran single server setups before Kubernetes became common, so it really comes down to your specific needs.

One major drawback is scalability. Minikube is limited to just one node, so if that server goes down, everything else goes down with it. If your business can handle that level of risk, it might still work for you, but it’s definitely something to consider.

Minikube runs in a VM which gives you some isolation, but that can add overhead. The bigger question is: who will support you if something goes wrong in production? Make sure you have a clear plan for that!
