Help! My Windows 11 PC Keeps Rebooting and the Screen is Jittery

I'm having a tough time with my Windows 11 computer. Earlier today, when I tried to boot it up, it got stuck in a reboot loop. I saw that Windows couldn't fix it and the log file indicated an issue at 'C:WINDOWS|System32|Logfiles|Srt|SrtTrail.txt'. Eventually, my PC did make it to the home screen, but the display was really jittery and both the cursor and screen kept flashing. After logging in, my PC would reboot after a little while.

Feeling stuck, I decided to reinstall Windows. The reinstall via troubleshoot didn't work, so I created a bootable USB. Booting from the USB seemed to be going well until I reached the point of setting the PIN - the PC started to lag, the jittering returned, and the screen continuously flashed, just like before. The whole thing crashed and rebooted again. Now I'm back to square one and not sure what my next move should be.

I want to mention that I haven't made any recent changes, like messing with settings or downloading new applications. The only significant thing I've done recently is the Windows 11 installation. Any advice would be really appreciated!

It sounds like your screen issues could be linked to the GPU. If it only starts jittering after you’ve booted into the home screen, that might point to graphic card problems or driver issues. What’s your PC’s setup? Let’s see if we can narrow it down.

I’ve got a 4070ti and a 7800x3d on an Asus TUF B650 Plus motherboard, with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus for the Windows installation. The jittering happens on the home screen but not during the Windows installer, at least not immediately.
