I'm trying to download some files, but the installer keeps getting interrupted because my antivirus seems to be blocking it. I've tried turning off everything in Windows Security, but it still indicates that the antivirus is active. Am I missing something? Is there something else I should do to fully disable it?

Disabling antivirus entirely isn't usually the best route. Trust your instincts, and if it seems like a false positive, consider just adding an exclusion for the installer folder instead of turning off the protection completely.
Before you proceed, which antivirus software are you using? That could make a big difference in how you need to adjust the settings.
Windows Defender usually only blocks malware, so if you’re having issues, it's likely you have another antivirus installed. You might want to check if there's a different antivirus program running on your system.
Good point, just look in your system tray for any antivirus icons or check your installed programs in the control panel.

That's what I thought! How can I check if I have another AV installed?
