Hey everyone! I'm curious about my career path. I have a degree in data science, but I'm aiming to work as a software engineer. The issue is I couldn't apply for Computer Science and Engineering due to selection criteria, and I can't afford to translate my transcripts. Data science was my only option. I already have experience with HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript, as I'm really enjoying front-end development. Is this degree enough to land a job as a software engineer?

You're on the right track with learning Python! It’s versatile and many software engineering roles value those skills. While your background in data science can help with things like data manipulation, just keep expanding your skill set!
Absolutely, you can definitely be a software engineer with a data science degree! Just remember, you might be missing out on some key backend skills, which are super valuable in the industry.
Don't underestimate the power of your front-end skills! Knowing how to work with user interfaces and data visualization can also be an asset in software engineering. Just make sure to brush up on your backend knowledge, too.
