Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first PC and would love to hear your thoughts on my planned build. Here's what I'm considering:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
- **Motherboard:** ASUS TUF Gaming B650E-E WIFI ATX AM5
- **RAM:** Crucial Pro Overclocking 32GB (2x16) DDR5-6400 CL32
- **SSD:** Crucial T710 2TB M.2-2280 PCIe 5.0 X4 NVME
- **GPU:** PNY OC Geforce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
- **Case:** Lian Li O11 Vision
A couple of specific questions I have:
1. I've heard that using RAM over 6000MHz with the 9800X3D might lead to instability. Is that something I should expect, or does it depend on other factors?
2. I'm unsure what PSU to choose. I've seen the MSI A1000GS and be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 1000W both on sale, but I'm not sure if they're overkill since my build's estimated usage is around 539W.
3. Any additional thoughts on my build would be greatly appreciated!
This rig is for gaming, video editing, and maybe some streaming. I plan to play single-player games like MGS Delta, Jedi Survivor, and Oblivion Remastered, plus sandbox games like modded Minecraft with shaders, Factorio, and Satisfactory. Multiplayer games are also on my list, like Guild Wars 2 and ARC Raiders.

When it comes to RAM over 6000MHz, the experience can really vary. If you're okay with diving into the settings to tweak timings or underclocking, you might not run into major issues. Just keep in mind that XMP profiles can sometimes cause instability, so be ready for a little trial and error if you go that route!

Thanks for the tip on tweaking! I'll definitely look into it.
