I'm considering whether to upgrade my Ryzen 5 5600G to a Ryzen 5 5600T. I recently picked up a RX 7600 for a great price, and I'm seeing the Ryzen 5 5600T also available for a good deal. My motherboard is an MSI B550 PRO VDH WIFI, and I'm thinking about this swap because the 5600G doesn't support PCIe 4.0. I'm curious to know if there's a significant performance difference between PCIe 3.0 and 4.0. On the other hand, I appreciate that the Ryzen 5 5600G has an integrated GPU, which is useful in case my dedicated GPU fails. Would it be worth replacing the 5600G if the performance gains aren't that noticeable?

From what I've read, the performance difference between the 5600G and 5600T isn't huge, unless you’re looking at the extra L3 cache. The 5600T has 32MB of L3 compared to the 16MB on the 5600G. If you're tight on budget, a 5800X is a great option and could be found for a good price.
It really depends on your use case. There's a YouTube video comparing the RX 7600's performance on PCIe 3.0 vs 4.0. It might be worth checking out to see how significant the difference is.
I made the jump from a 5600G to a 5700X3D, and it was a huge upgrade in terms of overall smoothness. The 5600G only has 16MB of L3 cache, which is quite limited. For the best gaming experience on AM4, I'd suggest considering a 5700X or 5800X, as they offer great value and are more future-proof.
Absolutely, the extra L3 cache is a big deal, especially if you're gaming. The upgrade to PCIe 4.0 is beneficial too, but it's more of a nice addition. If you can get an X3D chip, definitely go for it!
