Is Dual PC Streaming Possible with Linux and Windows?

I just made the switch to Linux a few days ago and I'm trying to figure out my streaming setup. Specifically, I want to know if there's a way to stream from my Linux gaming PC to my Windows PC. There are some programs I rely on for streaming, like VTube Studio, that work better on Windows, and some like Mix It Up that aren't available at all on Linux. If streaming isn't straightforward, are there alternatives to run those programs on my Linux machine? Also, I'm curious about mic setup—I'm used to SteelSeries SonarGG for noise gating and EQ settings. Is there something similar available for Linux? Right now, I'm using Linux Mint but I'm thinking about switching to Bazzite. Any help is appreciated!

For your streaming setup, OBS Studio is a great option on Linux! It can handle streaming and recording pretty well, and you can set it up to stream to your Windows PC. If you need to manage different programs on your Windows PC, you could use NDI (Network Device Interface) to send video and audio from your Linux machine to your Windows machine over the network. That way, you can keep running your Windows-only software without a hitch!

Yeah, I’ve used NDI for streaming from my Linux box to Windows and it works smoothly. Just make sure both PCs are on the same network!

Thanks! I’ll definitely look into NDI, that sounds promising.

For mic filters and EQ on Linux, you might want to check out PulseAudio or JACK. They have similar functionalities to SteelSeries SonarGG and can help you manage noise gates, EQ, and compression. It might take a bit to set up, but once you do, it can be super powerful!

I second that! I use PulseAudio, and it's great for mic control. There’s a learning curve, but it’s worth it.

Awesome, I'll try working with PulseAudio then. Thanks for the advice!
