I'm currently using a Dymo LabelWriter 450 to print our asset labels during imaging, but it's USB only, which means it has to be connected to a workstation to run the print process. I'm interested in finding a networked label printer to simplify this task. Before I decide on the Dymo 550 Turbo, I'm curious if anyone has recommendations for desktop network label printers. My current labels are 3x1 inches, but I'm open to different sizes if needed.

I recently came across the Brother QL-810WC Wireless Label Printer. Just keep in mind, it looks like it mainly offers WiFi and USB options. Personally, I’m not a fan of printing over WiFi, so I’ll check if there’s a wired alternative.
While everyone's needs can differ, we switched to using permanent Avery compatible labels with regular printers and it's been working great for us.
If you’re planning to stick with the Dymo 450, they do have a USB Print Server option, but it might not be the best choice. I’ve had mixed experiences with those, and they can be a bit pricey. Switching to something that has native networking might be a better move.
If your primary use is for 1x3 labels, I’d suggest checking out Zebra printers. Just a heads-up, Dymo seems to be restricting their labels lately, so you might want to think about that. It's getting trickier to use third-party labels with them.
Any particular Zebra model you recommend? I'm definitely considering that option.

I'd suggest avoiding those print servers. They can be pretty unstable on the network. For smaller setups, a regular Windows workstation handles sharing just fine. Plus, newer Dymo models have some RFID tech that blocks third-party labels, so I’ll keep my 450 until it fails.
