Is it worth using my GTX 1060 in a PCIe 4.0 x4 slot?

I've recently built a new PC for my wife and me. I have an RTX 5070 Ti, and she has an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB. Previously, I used a GTX 1070 Ti while she had a compact GTX 1060. I'm wondering if there's any advantage to plugging her old 1060 (or perhaps my 1070 Ti) into the x4 slot of my new motherboard (Z890 Aorus Elite WiFi 7). Would it help with tasks like streaming? I've read that performance might drop by only 0-12%, is that accurate?

Honestly, there’s probably no real benefit to having two graphics cards in this setup.

Using the NVENC on your 5070 Ti will give you better streaming performance than the 1060. The only situation where the 1060 might come in handy is if you need more display outputs or for some older games that support 32-bit PhysX.

Totally get that! I found the same with my setup—just better to stick with the newer card for streaming!
