How can I set my SSD as the boot drive without reinstalling Windows?

I just built a new PC and I'm planning to use my old HDD for storage while running the OS from a new SSD. However, I can't seem to set the SSD as the boot drive because Windows automatically made my HDD the primary boot drive during installation. I tried using the bcdboot command but my SSD isn't being recognized as active. I've seen a lot of advice suggesting a fresh Windows install for new drives, but I really don't want to erase everything on my SSD. Is there a way to fix this without starting over? I'm getting an error message that says "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key."

First off, make sure that your computer recognizes the SSD after booting from your HDD. It’s not uncommon for older systems to have issues with SSDs, especially if they’re configured incorrectly in the BIOS. Check for any BIOS updates from the manufacturer; it can really help. If you're unsure about flashing the BIOS, just ask - the community can assist you with that! Also, confirm that Rapid Storage Technology is set up correctly, as that could be a factor too.

I think the SSD is recognized; I've been using it, and it shows up in both the driver manager and BIOS as a connected drive and boot option. I’ll try updating the BIOS as suggested, thanks!
