I recently built a new PC and went through the process of installing Windows and necessary drivers. Initially, I faced some issues with the drivers, but after a few attempts and restarts, I managed to get them working. Then, a friend suggested that I update the BIOS. I followed a YouTube tutorial to do that, but afterward, my Ethernet connection stopped working completely. I've tried various solutions to fix the problem, but nothing has worked so far. My motherboard is the X870E RogStrix. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you might be missing some drivers after the BIOS update. Make sure to download the chipset and LAN drivers directly from your motherboard's website. Also, check in your device manager to see if the Ethernet adapter is enabled. If the Ethernet port isn’t showing any lights when you plug it in, that could indicate a bigger issue. Have you tried checking your network cable on both the router and the motherboard? By the way, is your WiFi working?

I attempted to install the LAN drivers, but I keep getting an error that says the Realtek controller wasn’t found. My Windows is updated, but device manager doesn’t show any network drivers except for Bluetooth. Before I updated the BIOS, everything was working fine, even managed to play Apex for a couple of hours. Now, there’s no light on the Ethernet port at all.
