What’s the Best Upgrade for My PC to Run High-End Minecraft Mods and Shaders?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC to better handle extreme physics and high-quality shaders in Minecraft. I know my current setup isn't cutting it, and I want more than just decent performance. I've got a solid Intel i7-8700K CPU, 32GB of RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. I think the GPU might be the main issue, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm also concerned about whether I need to upgrade anything else and what my best options are within a budget of $300-$400, though I'm willing to go a bit higher for the right improvements. What should I focus on to achieve these goals?

It’s tough to pinpoint exactly. Minecraft can be demanding on the CPU, but shaders really push the GPU. Given your setup, a better GPU seems like your best bet. I recommend looking into cards like the RX 6800 XT for a solid upgrade! Also, remember to check your PSU to ensure it can handle the new graphics card. You could even sell your RX 5700 XT to offset some of the costs!

Good call on the GPU! I've heard the RX 6800 XT handles shaders beautifully. Just make sure you have enough power supply wattage for it. And yeah, selling your old card is smart, you'll get some decent cash back!
