Hello everyone! It looks like BeyondTrust, the company behind Bomgar, is transitioning to a subscription-based model and phasing out on-premise devices. I'm pretty disappointed with this shift, as it feels like corporate greed is taking over. I've received the renewal notice for my Bomgar appliance, and I'm not interested in their cloud subscription or transitioning my device to that model. I'm on the hunt for a solid remote access solution that allows multiple IT staff (5-10) to provide support concurrently for a range of 500-1000 remote devices running Windows and Linux. Ideally, I'd love an option that's either a hardware solution or one that can run as a virtual machine. Any suggestions?

Have you looked into MeshCentral? I ran my own instance while consulting, and it does quite a bit for what it is. Perfect if your endpoints are mostly within an intranet or VPN. The original creator is still involved, ensuring it’s maintained well.
Splashtop is a pretty good choice too, although it does lean towards the subscription model. Just a heads-up!
EasyRemote by Septeo is worth a look. Also consider Wallix Remote Access; both have solid features for remote support.
You might want to check out Connectwise Control (formerly known as ScreenConnect). I've been using it for almost a decade and it works great for remote access!
Thanks! I’ll definitely reach out to them for more info.
ManageEngine has a solid on-prem remote desktop management solution. It runs well on Windows and has features like PowerShell and file management that your IT staff might appreciate.
Thanks! I'll reach out for more details.

Great, I’ll include it in my research and testing.
