I've been happily using Mailgun's free service for three years, but I've hit a snag with their log retention policies. They only keep logs for one day, and the first paid plan also only offers one day of retention. The next tier jumps to $32 per month for just five days of logs. I'm looking for alternative email services that offer longer log retention as part of their standard plans and I'm open to paying for a reliable solution. Any suggestions?

I've had a good experience with Postmark; they keep logs for 45 days by default. Plus, you can pay for a "Retention Add-on" to customize how long you want to keep them. Just a heads-up, I haven't used it recently, but it was solid before.
I also came across Mailpit. It's free, but just so you know, it's more for local testing to ensure your emails look good, not really for transactional email sending.
I've found SendGrid to be a reliable option too, but watch out—it can get a bit expensive depending on your volume of emails.
Brevo, which used to be Sendinblue, has a really generous free tier and reasonably priced paid plans too. I think it could fit your needs well!
Check out Resend.com, it might fit your needs.
For transactional emails, AWS SES is hard to beat—it's really cost-effective because you only pay a few cents for 1000+ emails. Just keep in mind you'll need to manage your own logging there, though.
Yeah, AWS SES is great for scaling, but the setup can be a bit technical if you're not used to it.

Thanks for clarifying! I was looking for an SMTP service.
