I've been having trouble getting my Nvidia driver to work like it used to after my brother borrowed my MSI laptop and installed an Intel graphics driver for his work with Adobe products. Now, my games, especially Baldur's Gate 3, are lagging badly and it's frustrating. I've uninstalled the Intel driver but the Nvidia driver still isn't performing well. I downloaded the Game Ready Driver through the Nvidia app, but things have only gotten worse. I noticed an app called 'Nvidia GeForce' is missing now, and I'm not sure if that's important. My laptop features an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 6GB graphics card, Intel Core i7 processor, and runs on Windows 11. Any advice would be super appreciated!

Using DDU is really the way to go! It helps to remove leftover files from both the Intel and Nvidia drivers to prevent conflicts. Make sure you're installing the latest drivers directly from Nvidia too—avoid any third-party sources. Let us know how it goes, and if you encounter any issues, don't hesitate to ask again!
If you want a clean driver installation, definitely go with DDU. It's great for completely cleaning out the drivers that might be corrupted. You might also want to check out NVcleaninstall, which lets you use a minimal, optimized driver package—there’s a great guide on it too. Hope this helps you get back to smooth gaming!
It sounds like the Intel driver could be causing the issues. Try using a program called Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove both the Intel and Nvidia drivers. After that, restart your laptop and install the Nvidia driver straight from their website. This might also allow the Intel driver to update correctly through Windows Update. Also, check your game settings to see which GPU is being utilized—sometimes they can show that info. Good luck getting it back to normal!
Thanks for the tip! I tried this, but the game is still buggy. I might ask a friend for help in person.

Task Manager's advanced view can show you which GPU is being used without needing extra software!
