I'm considering upgrading my PC, focusing on the GPU and CPU. I'm thinking of getting a Ryzen 7 5800X alongside an RTX 5060 Ti, as I want to handle some intense gaming and work on CAD models and coding for college. Here are my current specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
- GPU: RX 6600 XT
- RAM: 32 GB
- Storage: 1 TB SSD + 2 TB HDD
- Power Supply: Thermaltake Smart 500W
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H
- Case: Deepcool CH370
I'm also a bit concerned about my power supply, so I'd love some recommendations for a quality PSU that doesn't break the bank. What do you all think?

Honestly, the Ryzen 5 5500 should hold up well for what you're doing. I'd suggest putting most of your budget towards a new GPU and a power supply that can handle it. What budget are you looking at for this upgrade?

I'm looking at around $600 to $650. I’m just worried about bottlenecks, so I might consider either the 5800X or the 5700X.
