I'm building my first PC with an Asus Z790 MAX GAMING WIFI7 motherboard and trying to do a clean installation of Windows 11. I've updated the BIOS to the latest version using a .CAP file and created a bootable USB with the installation media formatted as FAT32. However, I'm stuck in a boot loop and keep getting the recovery screen with the error code 0xc0000098. I suspect it might be an issue with enabling TPM or perhaps not configuring the drive settings properly. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

If the BIOS update wasn't done directly from the zip file, you might need to install the latest Intel Management Engine (ME) from the ASUS website. Windows 11 often requires the latest Intel ME to boot properly, so that could be an issue.
Have you checked if your drive is set to AHCI? Sometimes that error can occur due to missing or incompatible drivers, not just a corrupted boot. Also, make sure you created a Windows 11 25H2 installation medium. If you didn't, it might be worth creating a new one and trying again.
I'll do this. I didn’t know about AHCI, thanks for the tip!

I didn't know about Intel ME! I’ll check that out. Thanks!
