I'm experiencing really low framerates when I connect my laptop to my TV using an HDMI cable while gaming. Is there a way to fix this issue?

The performance can also depend on the specifications of the HDMI ports on both your laptop and your TV, as well as the HDMI cable itself. Just make sure everything is compatible with higher framerates!
You should check your display settings when connecting through HDMI. Sometimes, the resolution and refresh rate can change automatically, causing lower framerates. For instance, when I hooked up my 4K TV, the refresh rate defaulted to 30Hz, even though my TV supports 120Hz. Make sure it's set to the correct refresh rate!
