Hey everyone! I'm really struggling with deleting my Google account due to what feels like a never-ending loop of security checks. So, I tried to delete my account, and after entering my password, I got a message saying Google can't verify my identity. It suggests using the same browser from a previous session or connecting through the same Wi-Fi, but I've tried both. Now, they're telling me I need to change my phone number in the settings. However, it says my phone provider isn't supported, and I'm just stuck at the password screen again. I mostly use this account in incognito mode, and it has a recovery email linked, but that just leads back to the same issue since it's connected to my main email for 2FA. I can't seem to find anyone at Google to talk to for support, and I feel completely lost. Any advice on how to solve this?

It sounds like a frustrating situation! If you aren’t actively using the account, keep in mind that Google usually deletes inactive accounts after two years, so if you can wait it out, it might resolve itself. But I get that you might want to remove it sooner if it's hanging over your head.

True, but I think it's better to try and get it deleted on your own terms instead of waiting. Have you considered reaching out via Google’s help forms? They sometimes respond!
