I'm trying to clear out storage on my iPhone 15 since it's almost full. I recently got a SanDisk Dual Drive Go 128GB to help transfer my photos. However, I'm running into a problem: every time I try to move my photos, the storage used by the Photos app seems to increase! I've already deleted thousands of photos and videos from the app and iCloud after saving them to the SanDisk. I've followed several guides and used the 'Save to Files' and 'Export Unmodified Original' options. So, what's going on? I still need to upload more photos, but I don't have enough storage at the moment. How can I clear out the Photos app storage to make more space? It used to be over 30GB and now it's almost 50GB after these transfers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you're permanently deleting photos from the 'Recently Deleted' folder after you back them up. Sometimes those can take up a significant amount of space even after you think you've deleted everything.

Yep, I actually checked it on both my iPhone and iCloud, and I cleared out the Recently Deleted folder.
