What are the best Linux distros for light gaming and school work?

I'm done with Windows and all the bloatware that comes with it. I do some light gaming, like Euro Truck Simulator and My Winter Car, and I'm also in school. I'm considering Mint Cinnamon, but I'm open to other distributions that might suit my needs. Once I get more comfortable, I'd like to explore different options.

Check out Bazzite! It's relatively new, but it's designed to be hassle-free for gaming. I haven't tried it myself yet, but I've heard good things. It might be worth a shot!

Is it beginner-friendly though? I don't want to get stuck right away.

Mint is a solid choice, especially if you're getting started. It's user-friendly and has good support for applications you'd likely need for school. Plus, it handles light gaming quite well.
