I'm currently in the process of building a PC and my friends suggested that I should get the 4070 graphics card. Unfortunately, I can't find any in stock. I've also seen a lot of the 50 series cards available, but I've heard mixed opinions about their performance. Can anyone share whether the 50 series is worth considering, and what the reasoning is behind their performance? I'd really appreciate your insights!

The 5060Ti 16GB, 5070, and 5070Ti are all solid choices! They can definitely compete if you check their prices against the 9060xt and 9070 series, which are also good alternatives.
The 50 series is fine overall. Some reviews said they didn't offer a big enough improvement over the 40 series, which might be why some people think they're not good. The RTX 5070 is currently one of the best value cards for 1440p gaming, offering about 20% more performance than the 4070.
Finding a 40 series card is pretty tough since they’ve been mostly discontinued, so you're better off with the 50 series. I just got a 5070 Ti and it's been fantastic, running AAA games at over 100 fps! Totally worth it if that’s what you’re aiming for.

I was deciding between getting the 5070 or 5060, leaning towards the 5070 now.
