I'm building a new PC and originally planned to use 64GB of Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 6000MHz RAM with a CL30 latency. Unfortunately, that model is currently unavailable, so I'm considering switching to 64GB of Corsair DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB DDR5 5600MHz RAM with a CL40 latency. Will this change noticeably affect my system's performance in gaming and other tasks? Here are my other specs: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, GIGABYTE B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI 7 motherboard, and ASUS TUF GEFORCE RTX 5070 Ti graphics card.

Consider overclocking your RAM if you're going with the 5600MHz option. It might help you get closer to what the 6000MHz would provide in terms of speed.
The 5600MHz RAM has a higher latency compared to the 6000MHz option, so it could lead to a slightly noticeable performance dip, particularly in guidelines like 1% and 0.1% lows. However, with the X3D CPU you're using, some of that negative impact may be less pronounced. Overall, it should be adequate for your needs.
If you’re mainly using the PC for gaming, you probably won’t notice a significant difference between the two modules. In many gaming scenarios, the RAM speed won’t impact your frame rates that much.
It largely depends on the games you play. While some titles might show similar FPS at 5600MHz and 8400MHz, others—especially those using Unreal Engine—could see a considerable drop in performance. Just keep that in mind when deciding!
Just to clarify, RAM performance is influenced by both speed and latency. The 5600 CL40 option is slower than the 6000 CL30 kit. In practical terms, 5600 CL40 isn't much faster than DDR4 3600 CL16 in many scenarios. You might not get the performance boost you’d expect from DDR5. If you can, aim for 5600 RAM with lower latency instead.
