Help with Installing MC Forge on Linux Mint 22.2

I've recently switched to using Linux Mint 22.2 Cinnamon and I'm pretty happy with it so far. However, I'm finding it really frustrating trying to install MC Forge. I've followed multiple guides and double-checked everything, but nothing seems to work. When I attempt to run the executable, I get an error and a log file is generated. I've looked at the log, but it's quite confusing. The phrase "No X11 DISPLAY variable was set" shows up several times. Can anyone explain what that means and what I might need to install or change to get this working? Thanks in advance!

Make sure to share your system specs for better help! Usually, running `upload-system-info` gives a good overview, and you can share the link. It's worth checking that Java is correctly installed too; you can verify that by running `javac --version`. Also, I've heard that Prismlauncher has a lot of resources for Minecraft, but I'm not positive about MC Forge specifically.

I'll definitely check out Prismlauncher, thanks! Meanwhile, here's my system info: [https://termbin.com/kw71](https://termbin.com/kw71).

What exactly did you try? Just trying to figure out where things might be going wrong. Did you attempt to run it through the terminal or convert the jar file into an executable? Sometimes those small details matter!

I've run it in the terminal and tried to turn the jar file into an executable. I even reinstalled Java just in case I was using an outdated version.
