Why Are My Google Reviews Disappearing?

Hi there! I'm having some trouble with my Google Reviews. I'm on an HP laptop using Windows, and as a Local Guide Level 4, I've been actively writing reviews. Recently, I noticed that my reviews keep disappearing when I view them while signed out. Initially, I found out that they were hidden because one of my reviews included a link, which I removed. But now I'm facing a bigger issue. I left a 1-star review for a business with multiple locations that has been known for scamming people and mistreating pets. After I posted, an obviously fake positive review appeared, and I started editing my review to keep it at the top. We both kept boosting our reviews for about a week. However, after I duplicated my review across their other locations, all my reviews vanished when I checked in a guest window. They seem to be stuck in a 'phantom' state since I can still see them when I'm logged in, but the option to edit them is gone. I'm really frustrated with this situation and would appreciate any help!

If you've already written too many reviews in a short period, Google might consider that spammy behavior. To avoid this, think about spreading out your reviews and maybe try deleting some of the older ones that don't seem crucial. It's frustrating, but sometimes adjusting your approach can help with visibility.

It sounds like Google might be flagging your reviews as spam, especially if there's a lot of editing and boosting going on. They have strict filters to prevent spammy content. To address this, make sure to avoid copying and pasting your review. Just type it out as if it's a fresh review every time, and try to spend some time writing it to make it unique. It might also help to avoid including any links whatsoever, as those can trigger the spam filter too.

You might need to adjust how you're submitting your reviews. When I used to include video links, my reviews would get stuck in pending review. Now, I submit videos separately, and it works better. Editing your reviews too frequently can mess with how Google's algorithms sort them, so I suggest keeping your edits to a minimum.
