Hey everyone! A little while back, my friend's Discord account got hacked, and the hacked account sent me some pictures that showed how they supposedly made money from a sketchy Mr. Beast link. I was smart enough not to click on the link since I knew my friend doesn't use Apple products, and the skin tone in the pictures looked off. However, now all those images have been replaced with a poop emoji, and when I try to access the link, the browser says it can't reach the page. What happened to those images? Did Discord remove them? Also, is the cdn.discordapp.com site safe to use? Could I risk compromising my PC by clicking an image that just says 'image.png'?

The poop emoji means that Discord can't find the image anymore. As for the cdn.domain, that’s just a Content Delivery Network, which is not inherently unsafe—it depends on what you clicked on. If you didn't download anything, you’re probably fine. But honestly, if you know your friend's account got hacked, why even click the images they sent? That's risky!
What do you mean by nonexistent file? Is that something to worry about?

I clicked on it to zoom in on his wrist to see the watch he was wearing. I realize it was stupid, but now I’m just trying to figure out the next steps since all the images are gone and I still can't access anything.
