I've been struggling to install Linux Mint 22 on my Windows 11 system. I attempted to create a bootable USB drive using Rufus, but it ended up ruining my USB, and now my computer doesn't even recognize it. This is my third day trying to get it done, and I feel like Windows is making it super difficult on purpose! Can anyone give me some advice on how to successfully get Linux Mint installed?

Have you considered trying the Fedora Media Writer? It’s designed to create bootable USB drives and has a good reputation for being reliable. You can check it out on their GitHub page!
Another option is to use Balena Etcher! It's pretty user-friendly and doesn’t usually cause issues with USB drives. You might want to give that a whirl instead of Rufus.
It sounds like you're having quite a hassle! Rufus usually works well, but sometimes issues can happen. Try using the Diskpart command in Windows to clean your USB drive and then give Rufus another shot. That usually does the trick!
I tried that too, but it didn't resolve the problem for me. It's so frustrating!
I’m wary after what happened with Rufus, but I might just give Balena Etcher a try.
