I'm looking to upgrade my aging gaming PC to improve performance without breaking the bank. I mainly play games like Expedition 33, Marvel Rivals, and Elden Ring, and I want to enjoy them at good framerates. Currently, my motherboard is an ASRock B5550M-HDV, which doesn't support TPM 2.0, preventing me from upgrading to Windows 11.
Here are my existing specs:
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Super
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (6-core)
I've researched some potential upgrades that fit my budget:
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk MAX WIFI (supports AMD Ryzen 5000 Series, PCIe 4.0, etc.)
- GPU: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Dual Overclocked (8GB GDDR7, PCIe 5.0)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (6-core, 12-thread)
These parts seem solid to me, but I'm a complete noob when it comes to PC building. Are these components actually good, compatible, or are there better options out there? Let me know if you need more info!

The parts you've chosen are pretty solid for gaming, especially at your budget. The MSI motherboard is great, and the RTX 5060 will definitely boost your graphics performance compared to your GTX 1660. Just ensure that your power supply can handle the new GPU and CPU!
You might not even need to upgrade your motherboard! The ASRock B550M-HDV has fTPM, which is like a built-in version of TPM 2.0 in your CPU. So, check your BIOS settings; you can enable it there without buying a new board. It’s often just a matter of flipping a switch.
I didn't realize that! I’ll look into enabling it in BIOS. Thanks for the tip!

Good to know! I'll double-check the power supply specs before making the switch.
