I've got an ASUS TUF F17 laptop that I purchased a few years back, and I've noticed that it often hits temperatures over 90°C. From what I've read online, laptops should ideally stay under 80 to 85°C under load. Should I be concerned about these high temps? If so, what steps can I take to lower them? I'm also curious about changing the thermal paste since it's a laptop and not a desktop. Any advice would be appreciated!

Here’s a video I found that might help you change the thermal paste. It shows how to clean the fans, too. Just a tip: make sure you use quality screwdrivers, as those tiny screws can be easily stripped. Remember to disconnect the battery before you start working inside your laptop!
You might want to consider getting a cooling pad; they can help lower the temps while you’re working or gaming. Just be careful, as some aren't effective and can potentially affect the laptop’s fans negatively.
There are a few things to consider with high laptop temperatures. Make sure your fans and vents aren't clogged; cleaning them can make a big difference. Also, check if the heatsinks are properly mounted. It's best not to use your laptop on soft surfaces that can block airflow. If you're unsure about any of this, a trip to a computer technician might be worthwhile.

Thanks for the link! I’ve opened it up before to swap out a failing drive, so I have some experience. Just trying to figure out the thermal paste part!
