I'm considering investing in a new PC and have put together a build that includes the following components: a GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC for 688€, an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D for 356€, a Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite WiFi7, a Patriot DIMM 32 GB DDR5-6000 for 450€, a Thermaltake Toughpower GT 850W, a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE cooler, and a CORSAIR Frame 4000D case. I plan to reuse my current SSDs for storage, which are still in good shape. The total cost comes to 1971€, plus I'll need to buy a 1440p monitor for about 150€. Given the current trends in RAM pricing, which don't seem to be dropping, is this build solid? Should I proceed with the purchase?

Last December, I scored DDR5 32GB (16x2) 6000 CL36 for about 342 USD. The main reasons to buy now are: 1) you want to enjoy your games without worrying about frame drops, and 2) waiting on RAM prices could mean playing new games at lower settings and FPS, which isn't ideal. So, what price are you willing to pay for RAM now versus waiting a few years? Things might look different when we hit CES 2026 and see the advancements.
You might save around 10-15€ if you switch to the Peerless Assassin 120/140 instead of the Phantom Spirit cooler—it's more than capable of handling the 7800X3D. Also, try to find RAM priced between 300-350€, that could help. And consider an entry-level B650 motherboard to cut costs a bit more.
The overall price seems about 450€ too high in today’s market. You really need to hunt for deals. If you shop around, especially in Germany, you might find something around 100€ cheaper. Unfortunately, the RAM situation isn't changing anytime soon, so it’s a tough call.
