I'm interested in trying out Linux but I'd like to keep Windows on my single 1TB SSD. I don't want to invest in another SSD at the moment. What should I do? Also, which Linux distro is best for beginners?

I suggest you create a live USB with the Linux distro of your choice. You can try it out without installing anything on your SSD. If you decide to dual boot later, you can partition your existing Windows drive to make space for Linux.

SSDs are pretty affordable these days. Plus, Linux installations are usually much smaller than Windows, often requiring less than 10GB for something like Mint. Trying out a few distros off a USB drive is a great way to go!
