Do I really need to learn programming, or would a website builder like Squarespace suffice? If programming is the way to go, what language should I focus on for this purpose? I'm also keen on keeping costs low and have some interest in monetizing the site with ads down the line. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It's just for personal use! I want a landing page with a list of topics that links to different pages. Each page would have summaries with diagrams and maybe some figures. Monetizing with ads could come later, but it’s not my main focus right now.
