I'm looking to start my journey with Linux and want to install a distribution on an older laptop. It has an Intel Celeron N4500 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage. My primary OS is Windows, with some occasional use of ChromeOS. What distro would you recommend that's suitable for a beginner and works well on this kind of hardware?

Given your system specs, I'd suggest trying Linux Mint with the XFCE interface. It's lightweight and should run smoothly on your hardware.

By the way, are you using a Chromebook? If so, I totally understand the struggle!
