I built my PC in early 2026 and managed to grab some good deals on RAM and SSD before prices skyrocketed. Now, I'm considering upgrading my CPU from a Ryzen 5 7500F to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I also have a Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16 GB of VRAM. Is this upgrade worthwhile? Would the new CPU be too powerful for my GPU, potentially causing a bottleneck?

It really might be worth it, especially depending on the types of games you enjoy. Your GPU should be fine with the new CPU—it's not 'too strong' at all!
If everything’s running smoothly now, you might not need to stress about an upgrade. However, if you’re looking for a future-proof setup, going for it might be a good idea!
Honestly, it's probably not worth the cash. Upgrading could end up being a waste unless you're really seeing performance issues. Here’s a link to some benchmarks that might help you make your decision: https://www.techspot.com/review/3017-ryzen-9800x3d-vs-7600x-cpu-scaling/
But he’s asking about the 7800X3D, not the 9800X3D.
It really comes down to the games OP plays. For titles like Squad or Tarkov, he might see massive FPS boosts, while other games could barely improve. Checking benchmarks for his specific games is key!
What makes you think an upgrade is needed?

I mostly stick to AAA titles.
